A Good Gynae Won’t Ask You to Google.

Went to meet Dr. Delaila Ahmad from SJMC (I still prefer to call the hospital by its old name) and sure is happy that I did. Decided to switch gynae, as I am not very comfortable with Dr. Jaquelin. She’s alright but hubby and I thinks its best to opt for a more experienced doctor as I have a personal health history.

I came upon Dr. Delaila after doing a little research online. It seems that many prefer her, even though occasionally, there are others who keeps their sharp opinion open. Hubby and I wanted the ever famous Datuk Dr. Siti, initially, as she is also my sisters’ gynecologist so I’ve seen how she saved my preemie nephew Haziq. Our family has been through a lot with her, from Haziq to both the late Adam and Hidayah. Dr. Siti is our favorite hero.

But of course, the cost is also pricey. Our top three hospital choices to go for delivery are Damansara Specialist, SJMC (now known as Sime Darby Medical Centre) and Sunway Medical Centre. Out of these, we picked SJMC as its nearer to home and our family is more comfortable with this hospital. We have family members who got admitted like checking-in to hotels. Its naturally our second home.

We decided to have a check with Dr. Delaila finally, after we seek a few friends’ personal experience who mentioned the words ‘give very extensive details’, ‘motherly’, ‘soothing’ and ‘gentle’. Plus, Dr. Delaila owns a clinic in SS19 and her price is reasonable as compared to if I go straight to SJMC.

We went in yesterday, prayed that we got a good turn and we did. We were the 3rd person to go in and that was very great considering it was a Monday night. Dr. Delaila turned out to be what everyone else mentioned to me. She’s very detail in giving out her explanation and hubby appreciates that.

Alhamdullilah, the baby is doing just fine. Took her only seconds to find my little blueberry and the closed sac I’ve been worrying about. As far as the baby and pregnancy is concern, I’m doing pretty good. Baby’s heartbeat is also great. I’m happy beyond belief to hear that! I can’t sleep thinking about my baby’s condition and I’m glad that I didn’t have to wait till end of the month to confirm about everything with Dr. Jaq. (she previously asked me to google when I voiced my concern about my baby). Dr. Delaila explained everything, from A to Z and she even gave me a few good tips that didn't make me cringe my nose. When it comes to health and science, I prefer the most logical, reasonable, easy to fathom explanations I could receive and Dr. Delaila is all that.

The cost was a bit….phewww but for a peace of mind? It’s priceless.

After seeing my little blueberry on the screen, I’m now a happy mom anxious to get to her 8th week :)
